Falling Off The Meditation Wagon
Student: Sometimes we fall off the meditation wagon, so to speak, and fall into attachment thinking or “monkey mind". How to get back on? Once I've completed the task in this moment, my next moment will likely be empty and I'll fill that emptiness with worries about the future.
Jason: How to get back on? Right in THIS very moment, what are you doing?
Student: Right THIS very moment I'm typing my reply.
Jason: Yes!! That is how to get back on. Don't worry about the next moment. It doesn't exist. Only thinking makes the past and future. So just now... what am I doing? If you get lost then right now, what am I doing? The only time you can wake up is now. Not five minutes ago or five minutes from now.
